Curious about the life and times of the birds you see and hear while walking along Frame Lake trail?  Eager to explore the local forest to learn about edible and medicinal plants?  Have you ever poked around a pond looking for frog and toad eggs?

Each year, Ecology North volunteers hold a variety of natural history events to  encourage people to explore and learn more about the natural world in and around Yellowknife.

Annual events include the Mother's Day Bird Walk, Spring Frog Walk and Christmas Bird Count.

Ecology North volunteers and staff also facilitate nature exploration and discovery activities for local community organizations such as the Centre for Northern Families and Side Door Youth Centre.
